Patrick was a devoted husband and father and doted on his four grandchildren. I'm doing this tribute page for grandad becasue i want a place where we can go and share our thoughts and where i feel grandad can hear them. He passed away on the 20th November 2008 just 10 days after his 77th birthday. He had Parkinsons and alzimas for a few years before he died. Life was hard in the previous years, watching him slowly deteriate and lose his mind which was heartbreaking. In February of this year Grandad was took into hospital where he stayed and then went onto a care home. This was a devestating time for all the family. Things deteriated more quickly and this was where grandad had decided to stop the fight and go to sleep forever. we were all there to keep him company has he took his last breath. this was the worst thing that i have ever done but i know deep down that he deserved to be at rest.
